In 1976 Tehran Berkeley Engineers was awarded its first water resource engineering project for Sistan and Baluchestan Provinces. Ever since, owing to the importance placed on the issue of control and optimum usage of surface and sub-surface water resources of the country, Tehran Berkeley Engineers have participated and actively took part in projects including construction of dams, irrigation and drainage, water supply and distribution networks and their feasibility studies.

The Regional Water Organizations of Tehran, Khuzestan, Esfahan, Central Province and Mazandaran have so far entrusted 16 projects to Tehran Berkeley for study, design and supervision. Tehran Berkeley has gone through all stages of investigation into the matter including basic studies (meteorological, hydrological, geological and earthquake engineering, social, economical and environmental inquiries), identification and localization of water resources and optimization of their usage and consumption, management of water resources as well as design for the civil works, hydromechanical and geotechnical structures, irrigation and drainage networks. In this connection Tehran Berkeley keeps close and continuous contacts with credited Iranian and foreign consultants and research centers.

Tehran Berkeley has managed to enhance its mass of knowledge and extend its software resources by participating in large national projects that entailed special technical complexities, benefiting from the expertise, technical know-how and practical experiences of international experts with whom we collaborate.

To expand the scope of its activities in these areas, Tehran Berkeley has participated in international tender (e. g. Qazi Barotta project in Pakistan), as a consortium member in partnership with Iranian and expatriate firms. A good starting point to enter international engineering area.
