EXPLORATION, PRODUCTION, MANAGEMENT AND MARKET DEVELOPMENNT

Tehran Berkeley Management and Engineering commenced their activities in Mining Engineering since 1976. Undertaking major mining exploration geothermal projects in vast areas of Iran such as: Damavand, Sahand, Sabalan, Makoo and Khoy. The research and relevant studies involved several groups of Iranian as well as foreign engineers in the fields of: Geological, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Magneto-Telluric. where through an extended planning, utilizing helicopter, land transport equipment, outdoor camping and laboratory facilities have collected samples from all the springs and vicinities at the indicated areas.

This task involved several experts from Eni of Italy as well as famous French and American firms which was carried out under the management of Tehran Berkeley and was completed in the first quarter of year 1980. The study has led to a number of field explorations and revealed several geothermal potentials in the area of: North Damavand, Sahand and Sabalan. Presently, the second phase of said development are under-way, incorporating and implementing the study pattern. Exploration of various size Barite, Bentonite and Lead reserves as well as the Rock Quary in the south and cooperation in Gol-e-Gohar and Chador Maloo mines since 1991 are among the activities which have been concluded by this company.

The future planning and activities of Tehran Berkeley Management and Engineering consists of establishing joint ventures and cooperation with International Mining Organizations and Companies for accumulation of data and compilation of records in geological, mining exploration and production with emphasis on investment and development of this industry.
